The most painful part of a relationship is when you have been together but have to move apart. It could be anything like getting admission in colleges in two different cities or you relocate because of you job or the defense personnel getting posted every other day.
Whatever may be the reason the fact remains that you are physically apart from your mate and long distance relationships can be tough. It can stretch to months even years before you see each other specially if you are out of the country.

You would buy special stationary like beautiful letter papers, slightly perfumed, and you would pour your heart out filling up pages, and press a dry flower to show your sentiments more strongly or seal the letter with a lipstick mark if you are a female.
Then you’ll wait for days for a reply! Well I suppose it had its own charm. Today the couples are too busy to write long letters or even have the patience to wait for days for a reply. With the development of technology the world has shrunk. You have more options to stay close to your partner and connect to him/her daily without problem.
Mobile phones are a modern day blessing keeping you close to your mate at any time of the day. No more shouting over the land line with a bad connection! Phone bills do pose a problem but what is a phone bill if you can talk to your sweetheart three times a day?
Text messages are cheaper way to convey how you feel. Talking long distance is an expensive proposition even if you call once a day. The best is to send text messages saying how much you miss him/her or little love messages throughout the day.
With the usage of Internet, chatting has become common. It is a great way to keep in touch and much cheaper compared to phone calls. You can watch each others expression smile and even blow a kiss.
Take pictures through your cell phone and send a MMS to your friend. Better still take video of your activities with Digital camera. Take pictures of your outings with your friend and family and send it across. Your mate will feel all the more closer to you sitting thousands of miles away sharing your happy moments.
Keep connected to your partner by any these facilities is one side of the picture. Having complete understanding of each others needs and feelings are very important in a long distance relationship. You will surely prove that ‘Love knows no distance’.
