How was your Valentines Day?
So, once again Valentines day has been and gone. It seems to pass a lot quicker than it arrives thanks to shops making sure we dont forget almost as soon as Christmas is over.
How did your Valentines Day go? Did you take your loved one out for a romantic meal or did you stay home and try your hand at a Gordon Ramsey recipe? Whatever you chose to do I hope it went well for you.
Valentines Day can always be a little stressful, restaurants are usually packed out and you can be waiting hours for a table. If you chose the safer route of cooking at home then that brings it’s own stresses as well.
Will he or she like you what you cooked? Did you overdo it on the salt? Does he or she like the wine? All of these questions can come in to your head, even if you have been with your partner for quite a while.
We decided to have a quiet one this year, there was no meal out nor a home-cooked meal for that matter. Instead we decided to go to the local park on the Sunday (when the weather was a bit better) and walk hand in hand around nature.
You see, Valentines Day has been made in to something it doesn’t have to be. The purpose of the day is to show your loved one how much you care. However, you probably do this every day (at least you should!) so do not get too weighed down by the pressures of commercialisation.
