I'd forgotten that I'd posted here. I did end up meeting some guys I got matched with on C-Date. I can't say that they seemed desperate but I did only start exchanging messages with the men where I really had the feeling that the message they wrote was meant for me and not just some copy paste job. I've deleted my profile now, but if I fancy something different again, I'll sign up anew. Sometimes I meet up with one of the guys I met there. I liked it.

Compared to other similar webpages, C-Date is useless and a fake!
Some examples?
- If you create a profile, you immediately and periodically get "incomming mails",
but if you buy an account (to be able to read the 'mails'), then you'll see that
 the mailbox is empty.
- *All* incomming mails looks like automatically created, because they *always* contains
just one sentence with one question.
- If one ansers to such a question, you'll never get a related answer: all answer
 are generic.
- There are a lot of newly created profiles - and they disappear as fast as they
are created. We are almost sure, that most profiles are created by software.

be careful...

I agree with Paul's comments. I am a female looking for a bisexual lady. The site guarantees a minimum of 2 or 3 contacts on a daily or weekly basis or they will continue your premium (paid) membership. So what do they do to ensure that? automated responses. It's always someone would like to meet me, or someone asking me what I imagine our first encounter to be. It's the same 2 responses without fail.

I mean, if you want to do a decent con job you at least try to hire some part timers to do some responses to continue getting people hooked. Gender doesn't even need to be right.

And not to mention it's not easy to discontinue membership if you paid with your credit card. It's auto renewed, unless you go through an entire process of faxing in your signed cancellation stating your account details. How discreet is that?

I have to cancel my credit card in order to discontinue the membership. Avoid this dating site at all costs.

This site is over run with prostitutes. They have trained teams answering your emails and once you are hooked they disappear. I registered as both male and a female. My male account receives a pathetic drip of emails from prostitutes but my female account receives 10s of emails each day from desperate guys. Suggestion: save your money and use it to negotiate 1 hour of fun with your local prostitute.

I decided to check out c-date cos I´ve just been feeling so bored lately. I´ve started writing messages to two guys so far (they wrote to me first, though). I´m not sure if I´m going to take it further but even just this is kinda fun. I´m just gonna wait and see if a guy turns up who I´d really want to meet in real life, too but so far, so good.
